The "Rare On Air" series produced by Chris Douridas and KCRW Production Director Bob Carlson from tracks recorded on the station's popular "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show, captures the on-air performances of musicians in one studio with an energy and closeness unmatched by many commercial recordings. KCRW released the "Rare on Air" series through Mammoth Records, beginning with Volume One in 1994.
