Bio:

Matthew Miller (center/moderator) is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, a bi-weekly columnist for Fortune magazine, and an award-winning contributor to The New York Times Magazine and The Atlantic Monthly. Miller's first book, The Two Percent Solution: Fixing America's Problems in Ways Liberals and Conservatives Can Love, published by Public Affairs, appeared on the Los Angeles Times best-seller list and is now available in paperback. Robert Scheer (left) is a syndicated columnist based at the San Francisco Chronicle and editor of the new Internet investigative magazine, www.truthdig.com. 40-year veteran of political reporting, he was the editor of Ramparts in the 1960s and national correspondent for the Los Angeles Times from 1976 to 1993, and was a columnist until November 2005. He is Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication, where he teaches a course on media and society, and has authored six books, most recently The Five Biggest Lies Bush Told Us About Iraq.

Tony Blankley (right) is editorial page editor of The Washington Times (www.washingtontimes.com) and author of the recently published book, The West's Last Chance: Will We Win the Clash of Civilizations? from Regnery. During the "Contract with America" years, he was press director and advisor for House Speaker Newt Gingrich. As a child actor, he first encountered Ronald Reagan at a 1950s era USO performance, later joined his campaigns for governor and president, ultimately serving as speech writer, policy and planning analyst in the Reagan administration. He is a weekly commentator on TV's The McLaughlin Group, and a regular contributor of news analysis on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, CBS and ABC.

Arianna Huffington (progressive independent, formerly on the right) is editor of www.huffingtonpost.com, a nationally syndicated columnist and author of ten books, most recently Pigs at the Trough. Born in Greece, she established her conservative credentials at Cambridge University in London, wrote the controversial The Female Woman, later joining the American political scene with her then-husband, Congressman Michael Huffington. Now a single mother living in Los Angeles, she has become a voice for progressive independents; she appears frequently as a political commentator on cable and network TV news programs.
