NPR NEWS SPECIAL: STATE OF THE UNION TO AIR ON KCRW, Tuesday, January 31, 2006

On Tuesday, January 31, beginning at 6 pm Pacific Time, KCRW 89.9 FM and KCRW.com will offer National Public Radio s live coverage of President Bush's State of the Union Address. Hosted by NPRs All Things Considered host Robert Siegel, the coverage will include the President's speech, as well as the Democratic response to the address. KCRW will suspend its pledge drive to carry the speech and the Democratic response.

KCRW-FM, licensed to Santa Monica College, is National Public Radio's flagship station for Southern California. The station serves Los Angeles and Orange Counties at 89.9 FM, Ventura County at 89.1 FM on KCRU/ Oxnard-Ventura, the greater Palm Springs area at 89.3 FM on KCRI/Indio-Palm Springs and Kern and Northern LA Counties at 88.1 FM on KCRY/Mojave/Antelope Valley.
