Volunteer Opportunities
at KCRW

Volunteers can assist the station in a number of ways:
  • Answering listener questions, fulfilling membership requests and directing phone traffic.

  • Working with the staff of various programs like Which Way LA? and To The Point as opportunities arise -- tasks include clipping articles and researching potential stories.

  • Assisting music programmers during their live broadcasts, answering listener questions and creating playlists.

  • Assisting Computer Staff with installation and maintenance of hardware and software.

  • Assisting with KCRWWW Internet Project, encoding radio content into audio format and programming in HTML.

  • Assisting with the twice yearly membership drives, answering phones and helping with other tasks.
If you have technical or office skills, a little extra time and a love of KCRW, we would like you to become a volunteer.

Website Volunteer Positions
There are a handfull of volunteer opportunities in the management, production, promotion and business development of KCRW's website (www.kcrw.org).

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day management of an award-winning, multi-media website. Create and prepare audio, video & text for presentation on the WWW. Target and carry out online promotion for daily, weekly and archived audio events. Develop cross-promotional opportunities and strategic business relationships.
